I am in Torrance, the city next door to the original poster Sirloin1219. He is right. There is not too many Evos in South Bay LA. We have a lot of yuppies sporting Bimmers and Mercedes. It’s a status thing. The EVO is an enthusiast car. The EVO guys have a sort of camaraderie here in South Bay. It’s not uncommon to get a wave or a thumbs-up from another owner. I’m looking to hook up with a couple guys a share some info.

 

i attend school in so cal at university of california irvine. uci stood for university of civics and integras, but now it lost its name.
i see evo's at my school almost everyday. if i'm lucky, i see one impreza wrx sti.

Having a Mustang I see other stangs every day. In my case when I see a mustang that makes me turn my head it's usually because of a clean / simple paint job, nice stance, and nice wheels.

Bling, body kits, etc make an already nice car turn to ****.

 

I see more Evos in my travels then another Sportback!!

 

I took a drive to chicago a month ago and I didn't see one EVO. I saw only one 02/02 Yellow Lancer OZ and that was it.

Civic's.....don't think i can count that high

What makes my evo unique is the flame paint job, flame thrower exhaust system, and purge valve coming through my wheel wells... ok ok im kidding, theres a few here in the metro detroit area, but its all good, sadly enough i've yet to get a wave back from any of the drivers except for 1

 

I actually see on average about 3-5 evos a day... but I live in San Francisco..

 

I live in Southern California and in total I have seen about 5 Lancer Evolutions and 2 of which were modded.

 

Bull... I live in the suberbs and I see SO MANY MORE civics then Evo's... Ive seen like two or three evo's in my lifetime (8's and 9's)... And one kid at my HS has one.
