Cecil County is a notoriously fast drag strip. People consistantly run faster times at that strip than at any other strip in the mid-atlantic/northeast area. I've heard several different claims as to why it seems so much faster than every other strip - low elevation, not quite 1/4mi in length, slight downward slope on the strip, shadey timing, magic, etc. Whatever the real cause is, cars do run unusually fast there.

Regardless, that does not take anything away from your very impressive times. Cecil County is an NHRA certified drag strip, and your times certainly sound legit.
Congrats on 11's... you got a fast car there.

I wouldn't doubt it!

Hello, my brother in law has a IX and I know it's a 11 sec car. List of mods are...

-Megan Racing ex. manifold
-Megan Racing 02 housing
-Megan Racing downpipe
-custom 3 inch exhaust / no cat

-trust air filter
-custom 3 inch turbo intake pipe

-Turbo XS mbc
-greddy turbo timer

-ebay 28x11x3 intercooler
-custom 3 inch piping
-greddy type s bov

-GSC 272 exhaust cam
-Dynoflash mail order for all listed mods

-walbro pump

-everything else is stock

This car feels like a beast! throwing 3 foot fire ***** and all. At least 370whp if not more. This car is the reason why I bought a IX MR ( MIVEC is the SHI..!). He use to have a VIII with all the listed mods except the cam. The VIII feels nothing like this IX. The next mod he will do is a ATP turbo .63 exhaust and whatever can fit on the compressor front. So I will not doubt the man at all.

Oh, this was at Cecil? Heh, ask 4TUN8 about Cecil. He trapped 107-108 on a Friday night with me and some other Evos at Mason Dixon with some race gas/pump gas mix. He then trapped 113.9 or so at Cecil the very next day with some C16. He also hit his personal best ET that day.

Oh that must have been the reason. I NEVER would have done it anywhere else. As a matter of fact all of my cars have run similar times at Cecil and at Englishtown with similar trap speeds so i guess these tracks dont count for anything even though they are NHRA approved tracks.

Congrats bro. Ignore the haters, you have the video to back it up. You know you did it (as well as many of us on here do also) so just don't pay them any mind. GJ.

Didn't say they didn't count - just trying to explain the extreme trap speeds on a car that is on pump gas and that can't even go that fast without a really high rev limiter. Not one time has that question been answered. Why would your rev limiter be set to over 8000rpm, and how are you still making power that high when on the stock turbo with pump gas? It doesn't add up, but Cecil helps to explain the mph. I haven't question the 11s part once...

You got the timeslip , you got the video... Now your worried about what his rev-limit is set too. He backed it up.. bottom line...dont worry, Hopefully this summer you'll get into the 11's. If you need help give us a call... We are 4 weeks backed up now though.
