How Come no one buying the VII from Evo Imports?

The prices and models there sure caught my eye- enough to start checking on ways to swing a new or used JDM VII. As great of deal and car as the NADM VIII the JDM VII looks delicious. Any thoughts?

Probably the reason why nobody buys the Evo's at EI, is the Conversion Process. The conversion to make it legal takes time and money. I don't really think it's really worth it. I mean you can get an Evo VIII for less money than importing one. You gotta legalize those Evo's before they can be Street Legal. It ain't easy.

But didn't EI have to take back all of the VIIs sold to customers? So now those people are out at least $30K plus no car. I would be quiet too if I paid that much for an empty space in my garage.

Another reason besides the ones posted

How do you feel giving $35,000 - $40,000+ upfront to total strangers and waiting months before you will get the car??

Scary huh??

So the people who are confirming that EI sucks donkey's are "showing off"? I would think the rest of the people are being quiet, just hoping to get their $30-$35k worth without pissing off the EI guys.

When somone has your $30k hostage, you tend to be as polite as possible until you get the goods.....then you fire away.

You (Celm) seem to be the only person who for some reason has hopes of EI coming through.

Doesn't matter who they sent the cars back to....they sent them back and they are not getting them for a long time.....(if ever).

There are several other threads on the subject, but basically EI did no homework, BS'd a handfull into prepaying for the car, made promises and now 15 months later they are a long way from making the cars legal.

They may want to try ripping the front end off of an Evolution (EVO VIII) and slapping it on the Evo VII to pass the crash tests...

How can you see this as a good business practice? Aren't you pissed that you got raped of $35K? What has EI told you lately?
