I had that happen to me once in my old Prelude and I just ran over the dog. I felt bad but the car wasn't damaged. Good thing you have gap insurance.

It's easy to say that afterwards, but for some people - animal lovers or not, its hard to resist the reflex to dodge something.

I've never swerved outta my lane to dodge an animal if anything I have slowed down and let it pass, but usually they come outta nowhere and its too late to react.

Well, are you at least parting anything out? lol

Honestly though, sorry about the loss... I ran over a rabbit last night and got out and looked at it after becuase it was hobbling in circles (broken leg)... I felt so damn bad. Id rather have lost my car (02 Passat GLX, worth about 16k, bought it for 13k). But, in the long run, its better to lose the car..

yeah im a animal lover, and as long as you arent hurt... Okay

Dam, that sucks. I am a dog lover. but I would of ran over a dog if I couldnt make a move that he survives and my car doesnt get hurt.
Now if it was my dog turbo, I would of done, what you did.

Pretty mean what I said before but I have run a cat over once by accident. All i heard was a couple of thumps and that was it. Poor animal dodged in front of my car and I didn't see it until it was splattered.

I think we need to put a warning sticker on the yellow evos reading "Warning this vehicle is jinxed. Please observe extreme caution when vehicle operated in a normal manner!"
