Cross your fingers, but my anwser would be NO. Same OEM clutch. Unless there has been a TSB for the clutch which i highly doubt. You will get the same clutch.

a clutch replacement under warranty? Whoa! Please confirm if you got it done
and your answer is yes you get the same one. Clutch is the same on 03-05. I haven't seen 06 to comment on that.
How many miles have you got on the car?

I was under the impression that the clutch was not under warranty. Am I wrong?

not the clutch... the clutch is not covered under warranty with the evo. if the salesman told you that he fed you a line of bull. unless its determined to be defective, it wont be replaced for free.... only a small fee of about 1200

clutch and tires are wear and tear, read your warranty there are a lot of other things not covered such as paint and body caused by use of the car unless these things fail because of manufacturing defects they will not be covered.

Your both WRONG. Stop spreading misinformation. YOUR CLUTCH IS WARRANTIED for 12K miles. Read your maint and warranty manual. I believe it's on page 7 of mine. My best friend had his done at the local mitsu when his car had 9300 miles on it.

He's correct. Its warrantied for 12k miles. As with most people on this board, this is yet another example of people talking about stuff that they have no clue about. Assuming that you didnt beat on your car, they will replace the clutch with another factory one. You can possibly get them to install a different clutch if you purchase a different one though. Beware of course, if they open up the tranny and find the clutch looks as if you just drag launched 100 times they will make you pay the price for opening the transmission.

When I bought my IX I was told that some items on the car were covered for 3 years or 36k miles, such as the clutch and windshield wiper motors (since I live in the NW the guy told us they are considered a wear and tear item). I laughed and said "OK" since I don't plan on getting coverage from Mitsubishi if anything on my car breaks. Everything else has the 5 year warranty on it. I will check my warranty manual later today to see if it backs this statement up.
