Bascially, we are trying not to have crazy race cars in the street class so it can be a more level playing field for a broader range of tuners to be able to participate.
It all sounds reasonable except for the tire limitation. 100 tread rating makes it a spec RA1 class. And 255 is way too small when you can fit 275-285 tires easily under this car.

I'm not complaining, just stating my preference. As long as the rules are clear (which they are) and enforced, everybody is on a level playing field.

The rules will be enforced. Car will be teched before and after the race. We purposely made it 100 tread wear to include the RA1 and NT01. Some people also run Neovas, Corsas, and a few others. The 255 tread width is to slow people down in the street class. We would like to see a substantial difference in the street and unlimited class.

The unlimimited class should be very interesting since there are almost no rules.

Shouls be a great competition. At the moment we are looking at a likely attendance of 24-30 competitors, 40-50 HPDE entries, and a few exibition cars.

Chad,

What do you think? Get my old man in on this with the Ralliart IX? He may be an old fart but the guy still can wheel a car around a track.

So let me get this straight, we would see Leh Keen, Cory Friedman, and Chad Block all in Evo's battling it out? Somehow I do not think me and my little Lancer Ralliart could keep up so I may be stuck on the sidelines for this one.

As far as right now it looks like Cory will be in the street class with his personal evo and Leh will be in the unlimited class sporting the evo code named "Kill Everyone!".

Cory and Leh battled it out last weekend at the NASA TT event on sunday and it was quite a show. we even got in trouble for "Racing" hehe should be an awesome event and we are looking forward to it.

Greg,

Thanks for the info. I follow both of them in the GT class in GARRA and being a Porsche weenie (But a biggie Mitsu weenie) Obviously you can see why I root for them.

This should be a blast.

East Coast???? That mean most West coast tuners and owners won't be able to make it.

For '07, you guys should think about having it right in the middle of the USA, so everone can come.

I remembered you mentioning a few events the last time we chatted -- I may have to come down for this one. Hell just for the HPDE alone and chance to hangout is worth it.

If a vendor would like though my car might be pretty competitive in the street tuner class.

Thats just the street class. This will be very competitive for the driver and suspension set up. Also gives a chance to the tuners/drivers out there that dont have massive budgets

Now the unlimited class......thats going to be interesting.

Surprisingly a good deal of west coasters will be attending. We will be alternativing years between the coasts. The last one was in Socal. By having it in the middle of the country not as many will show up as its far for most everyone. Most of the tuners/vendors or near the coasts.

Where can we get more information? Is it secret?

Which information. Class info is in the first post, We will be making an attendance post shortly to list everyone coming. There will also be an event feature page off the main page which will list out all the tuner entries with pictures and descriptions along with company info. The sign up sheets are going out the begining of this week, so as soon as people sign up, we will list them. I have talked with over 40 tuners/business and a pretty high percentage of them expressed interest and are likely to compete. More info to come

Shootout or Road race?

Sorry but I just don’t see a “Shootout” here. Looks like a “Road race” to me that ultimately comes down to the skills of the people driving the cars. Maybe it’s semantics but I just don’t get it.
