Car runs like crap!
Car runs like crap!
I need some help. I recently installed an apexi turbo timer after which my car ran fine... Yesterday I recieved my defi BF gauges with V2 control unit. I installed the boost and EGT and now my car runs horribly! I can smell fuel coming out of the tail pipe along with a flow of white smoke... Does anyone know what could be the culprit of this? For the gauges I tapped 3 wires into the cig. lighter, and then for the power I tapped into a wire out of the ecu. This wire is pin # 80 and has a constant 12V source.
When I installed the TT i had to tap into 2 wires, one for the ground, one for the O2 sensor. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Cant help ya with the TT, but I have a stock 06 MR wing with the extra lip and I will even give you the vortex gen for $1000. This wing is in mint condition, no cloudiness or anything.

Did you tap the manifold with the car running? If you didn't, I would bet you just destroyed your turbo.
Either that or the gauge install is completely un-related.
The white smoke and running poorly sounds like water in the engine...Check your oil and check your coolant....if there is oil in your coolant, or coolant in your oil....you've got a blown head gasket.

lolanyways, if u disconnected the battery and the CEL went away it doesnt mean the problem went away, should try to pull that code out and see what it was, u still should be able to read it even tho the light is not on anymore.
For one thing, it was already tapped for the EGT so all I did is screw it in... Now that that's out of the way, how would I blow a head gasket by intalling gauges? I have not driven it, it ran fine when I shut it off for the install.. Now that the gauges are in, it runs like hell. There is an extremely strong fuel smell coming from the tail pipe.
