I am just curious as to why people are using this item. It bypasses the safety restrait of the ecu. There have been a lot of thread regarding over boosting because the MBC was set wrong/ or needed to be reset because of cold weather. So why continue using this part?

exactly.

I'd like my 21 pounds of boost to redline, thx.

And if you're driving around, in a boosted car, without a boost gauge, you, my friend, are an idiot.

PUT ONE IN. WATCH IT. pretty simple.

MBCs are MUCH cheaper than any kind of electronic boost control

I agree. I have an EBC and I always look at the boost gauge when im boosting hard. Also the boost controller can easily adjusted for all conditions. I would rather be proactive with the condition of the car and keep it modified than to keep it stock and not have to worry about a thing. After all thats the reason I bought an evo. If I wanted a car I could drive and just not care I would have gotten a civic.
