Glossary Needed
Glossary Needed
For those uninformed out there like me, a glossary of some terms would be very helpful? What is S-AFC, or S-AFC2 for that matter. What is DSM?
Sorry to be such a dunce but knowing the meaning of some of the terms used would make these posts more useful and understandable.

S-AFC is Super - Air fuel controller (product by APEX'i, Japanese electronics brand). S-AFC2 is the newer, more precise version of it.
DSM is Diamond Star Motors, a US based Mitsubishi outlet that built US versions of Mitsubishi cars.
The glossary is a good idea. Post that in Suggestions

To elaborate a little more on that.
S-AFC Is a inexpensive way to control bigger injectors by electronically fooling the computer to see less/more air passing by the mass air flow meter.
DSM: Is the joint venture between Mitsubishi (Diamond) and Chrysler (Star) to produce the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon and the Plymouth Laser.

OK, I got one. What is it with USDM? I assume it is intended to stand for US Domestic Market, but as apposed to what, the US Export Market? it does not seem to make any sense, why is it not just the USM? Help me out here.

Here is a good place to start Rallybrit. Although not specific to the EVO and does not address the newest fuel and engine management add-ons it is still helpful.

(EDIT: Ended up deleting half of my own post while trying to fix one little word. Derp.)
Well, I am the new one here, so perhaops it is my miss-understanding, but I woudl say if you refer to something as JDM you are talking specifically about cars that are sold in japan, specifically different from japanese cars that are exported from Japan to other countries. But in the US, there is no need to differentiat because Mitsubishi does not export any cars from the US to other country.
I dont think I am explaining it very well, but it annoys me just the same.
