Roadtrip.....

So I had to go to Miami from Orlando. It was a 500 mile roundtrip. So wat was the car saying to me?....:

1. The front bumper looks like a Dalmation (tarmac black and white spots)

2. The rims are now powdercoated naturally by brake dust.

3. After 3 hours non stop one way at 85mph avg speed, my wheels are still spinning as we speak.

4. The stock advans have now got to 15000 miles and the tread is now at -1/8 grip

5. The Fuel pump was screamin "WTF did I ever do to you to deserve this?" after WOT a number of times.

6. I discovered 2 other new interior noises that sound like a creaking rocking chair and one of the sound effects from the Ring 2.

7. I swear to god, the bugs are attracted to the Evo's Windsheild.

8. The turbo spun so much, it could have formed a F4 Tornado if it was pointed to the sky.

9. The Exhaust tip is no longer Black from being Rich, but now a DARK black, thats right no longer regular black, Dark black.

10. I swear to god , one time after a WOT at 22PSI i saw that fuel guage move down a notch.

11. I don't think ill be able to bend down, my back is sore.....

12. I literrally saw an old guy in his Caddy say " WTF" as I was passing him.

Thats about all that happened.

to end it off, I love this car and can't see myself driving anythign else, Ever

I had to go from maryland to illinois in one day by myself. 12 hours in a car non stop is brutal, especially without cruise control

my new evo 9 is in at Tint Specialist getting a clear bra, avery brand. It definetly saves from chips. 2 weeks ago I drove my evo 8 from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and back, got 24.5 mpg. It is amazing the difference altitude makes in power, going from 4400 feet in SLC to 100 feet.

I love road trips, especially driving in the wee hours and a good rain storm thrown in. I've made NJ to AL and NJ to Daytona and loved them. I really want to drive out to California one of these days, ditto for a trip to the keys. I usually just cruise, but a few "runs" thrown in keep it from getting too boring never hurt. I do wish I had cruise sometimes.

I had to laugh out loud at your fuel pump comment, mine gets nice and loud after my back road drives. I stopped at a light a few days ago after one and a guy on a harley (rare quiet one) asked me what that noise was.

Portland to seattle aint to big of a drive (approx 170 miles I beleive) but with the evo its a seems to go by so fast because I enjoy the car taking me there. This one time I actually ran into another black evo and we drove for about 45 min together.. until I had to **** like a race horse

3 hours? i make it in 2 1/2 hours... i at least make this trip every 3 weeks.... not a very big deal, but yes the Evo is a great car for long trips....

depending on the wind... i saw the best mileage at 85-90 mph...

your back hurts?... sit up, dont sit back to where you roll down the back window...
