Evo in gumball 3000?
I was bored one day and was checkin out some video clips of the gumball 3000, on this kids computer. Man, if any of you ever get a chance, go check out thier site. www.gumball3000.com. Anyways, in one of the clips there was an evo 8 mr, running a Ruff porsche on this mountain road, looked real bad a**. Just wanted to get some opinions on the evos capabllites, running such a long race against top dollar super cars. I would think with the right amount of upgrades to the cooling aspect of the car, and a taller 6th gear for higher top speads, the evo would be a solid competitor. And obvously all the parts to make 500+ whp. What do you guys think?

I think it would be awesome just to participate... that's like an ultimate dream of mine. Also, look at the OneLap of America and you can see that the Evo with the right tuning and driver can hang with the big boys

the gumball is kind of a joke, IMO. Its far from a race, well its basically who can speed the most on public roads and acting like an asshat - looking really "sweet" in your expensive car and going nuts. I dunno I have no respect for the gumball people they are just silly irresponsible rich people that think they are "racing"

This gumball looks like its going to be the best one yet. Previous rallys were only on one continent. This years gumball seems to span three continents. Also they bumped up the entry fee from $15,000 to over $50,000 this year. Can't wait till the highlights come out on DVD.

But, I dont know about you but when a bunch of buddies get together they start doing crazy stuff and start trying to out do one another. Thats what the gumball people are doing except they do it with cars.
I have respect for the gumball peeps, cuz I would love to go cross country with a with 50 cars. THat would be hell of fun. ANd all the cars are super street monsters.
