Question High Rpm At Idol

Hi everyone, my car idol's at 2000 RPM and sometimes goes down to 1500 RPM stay's there for about to second's and goes back to 2000 which i find to high for IDOL, and i don't know if it's positive or negative.

If anyone have any clue about this please let me know.... Thanks for any Help.

Your car has its own idol?

Amazing. How'd you pull that off?

Mine 'idles' around 1500 if it's cold, but usually after a few minutes of driving it goes down to 600-800.

I think he was giving you a hard time because of the idol vs. idle misspell.

Well to try to help you, I pulled off the idle control motor and cleaned out the ports that it hooks up to with carb. cleaner and also the TB. cleaned off the idle motor itself . Then put a small amount of oil on the tip of the idle motor and reinstalled it. Never idled so good.

do you have a tune? Mine can get stuck at 2000,but all i have to do is put it in gear and realease the clutch a little and drops. But I would check your tune if you have one thats were my problem is I am just to lazy right now to go and change it.

It's probably your Idle Air Control Valve. Its pretty self explanatory, its controls your idle.
Check with the dsm sights they have had this problem before and I think they have a fix for it instead of buying another unit.
Good luck.
