Our perception of "Sleeper" cars
I was wondering if having a stock looking EVO would get picked on more so than a visibly modded one???
The reason being is that I'm thinking of painting my muffler flat black to hide the stainless muffler....
Will I have a better chance of people trying to race me??

If you take off your wing, debadge and paint your exhaust flat black at a glance your look like a regular lancer. It when you see the FMIC and vented hood thats a dead giveaway. When i was wingless no one looked at my car and no one tried to race me. Now with the wing installed that all changed

To the original poster, I would actually think that keeping it stock would get you left alone. From my own perspective, I'd perceive a bone stock car to have a driver who doesn't want added attention nor increased HP or speed. It's kinda like trying to play a game with someone who doesn't want to play at all.
I like sleeper cars simply because they keep The Fuzz of ya booty!
