They have no idea what they got themselves into. I am going to have some tape what happends. I will keep you guys posted.
I would have to say get some race gas and a tune for it when you go up against that C6, they aren't slow and you'll need the margin of error the extra umph will give you.

Good stuff. My Evo is wingless so I've never been subject to the anti hang glider crowd's comments. However I do work with a bunch of guys who drive $25k-$35k cars. First time one of them was in my car he wouldn't shut up about how crazy I was to spend $30k on an Evo when the same money could have got me so much more luxury. I'm the new guy so I just listened. When he brought it up at a meeting in front of everybody else for a few laughs I also took it with a smile.

Two weeks ago his P.O.S. FWD V8 Cadillac STS was back in the shop...again...for yet another problem. He ended up in my car for the day. By the end of the day he was on the phone with his brother-in-law (who is car shopping right now) begging him to get an Evo. Victory....sweet victory.

I am more worried about the vette then the cobalt SS. I know that I will take the cobalt. The vette is an automatic (less margin for error). Plus my cousin is a good driver. However so am I. I havent been to the track yet with my evo but neither my cuz with his vette. It will be interesting. I but the cobalt guy that he if he loses he will have to put mitsu emblems, type r stickers and those glowing tire stem caps.

As for my cuz we are racing for braging rights and sibling rivalry not to mention cash. I will look to get any edge I can get.

Total turnaround. I took a sharp right hand turn at about 35mph with him in the car and he nearly crapped himself. He couldn't believe a car could handle like that. After I did a 5k RPM launch from a stoplight he was beside himself..."is this is like a race car or something?"

I WANT TO SEE THAT VIDEO. especially the one vs the vette. I have great respect for the vette i think its very sexy and very very nice. But i have a friend at work that is all about american cars and stuff and he keeps saying the vette is better than my new evo. I wanna show him that vid.

Freshly wingless here. I don't need the attention from idiots and law enforcement. I enjoy knowing something that they don't. Most satisfying.

i would suggest you go to the track and make a few runs before you race the vette.

you have to figure out how to exaclty launch the car, and not shift too early.

its easy to think the car is easy to drive. launch the wrong way(which you will unless you have done it at least two or three times) and youll lose .4 seconds on the et
