anyone have pics of their rolled fenders?
I am interested in seeing actual pics of Evo's with rolled fenders. I am thinking about having my fenders rolled to accomodate larger rim and tires but I am worried about the cosmetic results. I have spent alot of time searching in these forums with no findings of any pictures. Anyone care to share?
Buddy I think you own the wrong car and your on the wrong site. If you wanted to roll your fenders go to a Honda forum where guys will put 20's on there 160hp civic. Putting anything bigger than 18's on the evo is rediculous and pointless. Not to mention just plain ugly.
This point of rolling fenders is to make WIDER rims fit. It doesnt have much to do with the diameter of the wheel. Dont jump to conclusions ppl

DSMEVOLUTION, that is an unresearched and unintelligent comment. The intention is probably not to "run 20s", most people have full-intention of racing and running wider rims. I for instance want to run a 18x9 rim in the future, and for many people to accomodate this size you have to roll the lip, and often the fender. To say that someone's intention is to go *****-out "Honda" is dumb, considering after all this is a rally car and most people don't buy this car for the bling factor. I too would be interested in seing some pics of rolled fenders, not many people show that sort of thing, and if they do it is with the wheel on...However, the thread poster might see faster results posting this in the suspension/wheels/tires sub-forum...

here is a rolled rear fender to fit 285 30 18 tires. look just like stock, I use a fender roller to get the job done, no paint crack, nothing.
not the best pic to show the fender but to give you an idea.

Who cares if he wants to run "dubs" or run a wider wheel (most likely). He is simply inquiring images of actual rolled fenders to see if any cosmetic damage can occur. It is most likely true that of the varying techniques available that some provide a better end result.
I would also like to see pictures and know of the technique used to roll the fender because I too am worried about potential cosmetic damage.
Kevo thanks for the picture, however, I find it very difficult to even tell the fender has been touched

Lol I have no intentions on running larger diameter rims. I want to run WIDER wheels (say 17x9.5 or 18x10) for autocross/performance reasons. I have yet to see a good picture of what an evo looks like (up close) with rolled fenders, I'm just afraid it will like crappy, especially if the paint chips and I am unable to exactly match the original color with a re-spray.

You can rent the fender roller for like 50 bucks (include a heat gun). The key is be patient and do it slowly. the out come will look just like stock only with the lip curled up, give you more room for wider tires. I'll try to take better pic from inside the wheel well.

better return your evo before you wreck it
ill try to take some clear pics of my rolled fender early in the morning tomorrow.i used a fender roller that hooks up on your wheel studs and not the baseball way
no cracks or chipped paints as long as you take your time doing it and plenty of heat gun use on it
