The 1st gen eclipse was way worse. I couldn't even pull of a u-turn on a 3 lane highway without having to go in reverse a little.

What difference do all these diffs make? On dry pavement, they allow drivers to put more power down while maneuvering — say, accelerating harder at the apex of a corner (or if an apex is not available, a mailbox).
