I just bought this SAFC-II off of ebay

What else would I need to get this thing up and running well in my car? I figured I would need injectors and a fuel pump. Don't know if I would really need the plug and play harness. Is this a plug and play harness in the listing?

Phatman, you need to PM me, so I can get you going with the SAFC. I noticed your location looks foreign. Do you not have any access to a flash tuner, even through the mail? If not, then we can move forward with the SAFC, but if you can get flashed, I would highly recommend that over the SAFC for now.
Just FYI, what you bought does not include the PnP harness. The harness referenced in the description is just the SAFC harness itself. You will definitely need the Fields harness unless you don't mind cutting into your actual ECU wires (bad idea). You're also going to need a logging device to track timing as well as a wideband o2 to get accurate AFRs. With all of those devices, you will then need to learn how to tune using the AFRs, timing, and SAFC. In the end, you will make less power than if you just had a flash, unless you get injectors. With injectors, which shouldn't be upgraded on the stock turbo, you will be able to manipulate the SAFC to give you equivalent torque as a flash, but it's still not perfect.

Ah, well, in that case, cancel the purchase and get a flash. I of course recommend Dynoflash, but there are other options in CA at your disposal (Works, Vishnu, Harman Motive). I don't know how far you are from LA, but Dynoflash will be there on the weekend of April 22/23 doing custom tunes...
^Hey warr speaking of flashes. I still am thinking about what I want to do to my evo but are the parameters for the falsh the same with each company or do they differ significantly?
Each flash tuner has their own philosophies on how to tune, but the end result is very similar. Some tune leaner with less timing; some tune less lean with more timing; some leave plenty of margin for error; some tune right to the very edge and hope for the best.
You know you can get my package and be off to the races with hardly any money spent, but there's other paths you can take and do well - just not for the same price.

Yeah man you are soooooo tempting me to get your package. I mean I have dreamed about it at night. Also how much of a power difference do you think your alky kit gives you? I mean i have seen and discussed the numbers with you plenty of times but do you really feel the difference?
Do I really feel a difference? Haha. Man, alky allows you to run insane boost, which gives HUGE POWER GAINS. Just realize that the alky itself does nothing. It is only an enabler in that it allows you to run high boost and more aggressive timing, both of which give big power gains. On the stock turbo, an alky kit will give you around 30-40whp and 50-60wtq (all the tq comes from the big boost). It also depends on your supporting mods, but those numbers are not uncommon. I went from 307whp/280wtq to 341whp/361wtq on stock cams. The only change was alky, raise boost from 20-26psi, and a full retune.
