You can still import one for personal use. Such as track use only. I know you cant drive them on the street

Heck 2,700 dollars for a 95 skyline. I figure after import fees trans and storage fees. I would be looking at 5,000 dollars. Take it to the track and beat the **** out of it. Maybe give it a nice detail and some wax. A mod here or there. And then drive it like its stolen.

Good luck with that. Its very difficult to import any car like that even for track use. Customs and the fed government requires a lot of proof for show and track use and purposely makes it very difficult for you. And by the time they get into your hands, they become much more expensive.

Another thing to wory about is the reputation of the company you are buying the car from. J-garage.com is fairly reputable but more expensive

According to the site, all cars are salvaged and shipped "As is".

You may want to go work for the DOT then, cuz they say otherwise.

Not to mention the customs bond you have to put up.

BTW, the "Skyline" they list on the site are all GT-S's, not GT-R's. Lame. I wonder if these are some of the abandoned cars you find in Japan cuz the owner doesn't want to pony up the reg fee anymore for an old car.
