Wow, such a huge swing, $1K under invoice to almost $40K? I paid Invoice for my STi, plus dealer-net for the upgrade pkg (Ti shift knob, short-shift kit, boost gauge). I was under the impression that everyone purchased these "type" of cars for Invoice, hmmm...

I went to a local Mitsu Dealership last night and showed them the ad for South Coast Mitsu, and the dealership here said the best they can do is to sell the car AT invoice... so it was like a little under 31k OTD for an Evo 9 RS. What do you guys think? I'm considering flying down to South Coast and driving the car back up. The funny thing was, they had 2 RS's... the one i drove had 160 miles on it and a Service Engine light... wtf? The other one they had only had 7 miles on it.

I googled south coast mitsu and found an '05 TB Evo 8 with 14 k on the clock for $27,800. Is that a good deal ?

I may be trading in my OZ this summer if things go well.

i paid $58,990 for a demo used (5000km) XI but it had all the extra. a brand new one would be $63,319 + $4500 with all the ralliart extras. so i reckon i got a good price even though it was slightly used.

No. Considering I paid $188 more for a brand new 06 at that dealership.

I think flying down to South Coast would be a great idea, they are really good dealership, I've had three bad experiences with Mitsu dealerships before and this was my first good experience.

But 31K OTD for an EVO RS isn't so bad, you fly down to Southcoast and you'll save yourself a couple of thousand, but it's more trouble and hassle for you.

yeah... True, but my girlfriend has like 40k free air miles (whatever you call them) from using her credit card so damn much. haha. And I figure, we fly there on a Friday, once I get there, I can take a taxi to the dealership, get the deal done, then goto disneyland with my gf on Saturday, then drive back Sunday and my Evo should be near broken in by the time I get back. lol. I know 31k OTD is'nt that bad, but 29k OTD at South Coast is just better... plus with that 2k I save, I get to have fun at disneyland, mod the car, AND break in the car in just a few days.

edit: BTW, next week is spring break so it's pretty perfect timing... now if only it'd stop raining so I could goto disneyland.

Wow I keep hearing about South Coast mitsubishi, I might needa visit them soon
8- x..... I will wait on see what the dealer here gives me for my trade-in, and if they work a good deal out for my trade-in toward a new IX, I might consider it. By the way, to the guy who said he might trade in his lancer oz for an 03 for 27k or so... Dont do it!!! Get an IX man, its only a grand or so more 8- )
