Well, it's good that he eventually did the right thing. I guessing he is fairly young (since he had to go ask his mom what to do) and just panicked. It still sucks though.

if u wreck a car, or it has been damaged you usually dont get as much out of it hints lost value, they should have to pay you what the cars value will go down due to that

and how do I go about getting this lost value? through his insurance? through my insurance? do I say hey this 1800 only pays for my car....what about the value i lost in my car i want x amount of money to cover it....i dont think they will go for it...she straight off told me we dont cover after market parts the moment she saw my car...she didnt even want to cover the damage
