I've never heard of nor seen a Megan HFC. They have a resonated test pipe, but it is not a hi-flow cat. The DP alone costs $140 or more usually...

Are you really asking if Megan is a good brand or not? Sure you're joking. It's not like a thousand of us don't already have the Megan exhaust...

I still have my Megan TBE, but will be selling it as soon as the BR TBE shows up, which should be any day now...

I bought a Megan Racing resonated test pipe off ebay a while back, and I remember the seller listing it as a HFC. When I got the package, the box also said HFC. It obviously not a HFC, but maybe they are listing it as such?

Yes, I think you're right. I saw someone say that once before - amazing false advertisement. People are easily fooled, because the RTP looks kinda like a HFC, which is actually a good thing for legal/emissions reasons.

I've actually bought a resonator pipe off ebay (megan) that was advertised as a high flow cat. It was just a resonator pipe. Megan doesn't manufacturer any cats to my knowledge.

Megan offers no high flow catalytic converters. The "high flow cat", or "race cat" was an incorrect Ebay term for resonated delete pipes that suck. Megan has expressed no plans nor desire to get into the catalytic converter market.

Also, neither Megan nor I advertise a "high flow cat"...

It is nothing more than a quieter test pipe...

if you purchase a TBE with a resonated pipe to eliminate the cat, will there be any emission issues? also how many O2 sensors are on an evo 9 and where are they located?

I have both and they are nice... I personally found that the megan testpipe/resonator gets rid of most of the "rasp" that is there with a regular 'test pipe'

Do you know what a catalytic converter does?
