just needed some thoughts, i'm putting in a greddy evo 2 alone with a hks downpipe. will my car run fine for about 2 months without tune?. or should i get it tune right away? the reason is that i'm waiting for my income return ro pay for my tune. any thought is appreciated. thanks

you could just wait till then and get it done all at the same time. I waited awhile before i got my flash/tune which i regret very much but i was in the whole with alot of things one being not having a job lol. I would say wait get them done all at around the same time but i think you will be fine with just the exhaust and no tune if thats all the mods your doing.

personally I would wait to get a tune until you get a few more mods, but on the other hand if you get a tune youll free up a lot of power, get a hella cool 2 -step (ya I said hella) and get rid of that annoying boost taper, fuel cut, and increase the rev limiter.

what do you plan on doing w/ the car? ie: drag, autox, road race, etc...
and when do you plan on getting more mods? and what do you plan to get?

my future mods are nothing big, mostly all the bolt ons, i'm keeping the stock turbo and fmic, as it has alot of potentials already. imma wait for the tune, if the car runs fine then i'll wait if not i' guess i'll let if flashed/tune.

I ran for a year with a TBE with no tune. I had my wideband gauge in the car almost the whole time. I never saw anything dangerous occuring as far as unsafe AFR's in the higher RPM's. I also did not add a MBC....which I feel would have required a tune.

yea you can run it with out a tune, but i would wait as the other said and get a few more mods after that get a flash, afc, or aem plug and play and your set to go.

You’ll be fine.

I had the down pipe, test pipe, and Greddy exhaust for awhile before a tune.

But like everyone says, you might as well wait for more mods and do it all at once.
