Preparations for an E85 tune.

I'm currently preparing my car to run E85 in the spring. Since there will be an increasing number of people getting E85 tunes I thought a thread on what preparations should be done before and the day of the tune would be helpful.
Heres what I've gathered so far:
Before the day of the tune (stock turbo):
1. Leak test system
2. Have injectors of size 850cc or larger.
3. Wideband installed (not required but good idea)
4. Walboro FP

Now I'm a little fuzzy on the day of the tune. Since I live 130 miles from the shop, I'm guessing installing the injectors ahead of time would be a mistake. Does the tank need to be almost completely empty prior to arriving? Should I bring a certain amount of E85 with me?
Since AMS has done several conversions at this point, some instructions on how to prepare may save complication and time the day of the tune.
It would also be good to know if you guys have found certain mods that work well with the stock turbo on E85. Thanks.

I actually ran E85 on my EVO IX when I had it. I was actually not too impressed by it. I was able to run a little more boost but what didn't impress me was the amount of timing we were able to run..about the same as pump gas.

You mod list is pretty right on. Don't install the injectors untill you get here and try to bring at least 10 gallons of E85. Having the tank as empty as possible is a good idea as we are going to have to drain it (for fee) and the easier it is the quicker the tune will go.

There really isn't a certain mod that works will with E85. They all react fairly well to it.

One thing I would suggest is doing a leak test about a week before just in case it gives you some problems.

The numbers seem comparable to the stock turbo on Meth injection which makes it a good set up for Autox.

I am still up in the air to change over to the E. I don't dd my Evo but I do have a gas city right down the street with E85 and 100oct. If you had the choice what would you do? Main use lately has been runs to the grocery store but ultimately trying to build a road racer.

If you have the ability to run two maps, 100 octane seems like the better choice. I wouldn't run 100 octane all the time because of the cost. I don't have 100 octane near by.

100 octane hands down. its more predictable and you should be able to make a tad bit more power then E85

Also dont forget that E has different blends for summer and winter that are more drastic then gas. I beleive in winter it goes to almost E70?
