Mini Battery w/aftermarket stereo?

Hope this is the right forum. Anyway, I have Bushcur Racing mini-battery under the hood. I began to plan out my stereo upgrades the other day, which include: new deck, sub, amp for sub, two sets of components, sub for components. Is it possible to run this stuff with a mini-battery? I was thinking no!

Im not 100% but its my understanding that most of the power comes from the alternator thats why its recommended not to put underdrive pullys on cars with systems. I think if you invested in a couple of caps along with the other stuff you should be fine. I used to run caps in my cars when I had systems and no problems with the batt or alt.

I have a "small batt" with a 200watt (Class a/b amp) . The small batt cant keep up with the car off , but when the motor is runnung there is no problem for me .

depending on how much power your system will have your best bet might be to get a optima and move the battery to the trunk. the mini one might work, but if you try to run your stereo with the car off you will drain it real quick. and its also funny to have your hood up and have people ask "hey wheres your battery?"

I have been leaning towards relocating the batt to the trunk, and going with an optima. Most of the time the car would be running when playing the stereo, but I would like a battery that can handle the draw for those times when the car is not running. Thanks for the input.

it will run fine as long as you dont go to big
it is true, your alternator runs the car,
do not run the stereo w/o the car on

If you want to run a really good system, that battery will not be enough. Yellow top will be required

yea i would have to agree, i bigger battery would definetly be a plus, no sense in trying to barley get away with the juice and starve you sterio, do it right and get a good size batt...ALSO while your at it get a GEL battery, those i hear are awesome for sterios!!!! they also WILL NOT LEAK, unlike the cheapy ones that if they tip over you get acid everywhere, best of luck to you, lataa
