Hard finding Evo's in near future?

theres been a few threads on this subject, but i wanna kno what all of you think.
some people are saying that with the Evo X, lots of Evo owners will be holding onto the 8's and 9's. i dont really know about anywhere else, but Evo's as it is are hard enough to come by around here.

do any of you see a growing demand and a shrinking supply of Evo 8's and 9's once the X comes out, or do you think you will find more.

i'm only concerned because i want an Evo, and so far the X doesnt appeal to me.

I am guessing that the Evo 8's will be the hardest to find compared to the 9 but both the Evo 8 and 9 will be seen rarely when the X comes out.

If things go as Mitsu planned, the IX will end up being a one year only offering. Therefore more rare.

I think the X will come in early 2008. I dont think Mitsu will make the IX for one year only. However, if that would happen then the IX will most deff be rarest.

My VIII isn't going anywhere. It will probably be repainted to the electric blue one day. But I'll be getting another daily driver, and it will soon be a garage queen/weekend machine.

it upsets me though. im in the process of saving up for an evo. and just my luck they become significantly harder to find. the X does look different, and part of me likes it, but i hate the fact that it isnt a TRUE evo anymore. the only reason id get it cuz it is still a fast car..lol..my plan is to try to find an 8 or 9 but if i cant after awhile ill just get a X. im sure ill b happy with it.

The X will be priced around $40K + so if you can afford that and can wait until 2008, if not get a 9 as it really takes mods easily. As far as locating one, will it is hard, but not impossible. Just keep calling dealers. I heard that they will start marking up these cars soon, because no more production after this year.

Man I wonder how the trade in value is gonna look on an 8 or a 9 once production stops? You guys think the value will stop dropping as much? I mean I'm not trading mine in, but it's still nice to know how much your car is "worth."

I find it hard to believe that they are only making the IX for one year before my local Mitsubishi dealership switched over to selling Kia's they said the only thing that were selling was the Eclipse and the Evo.

So, . . . . a dealership really did sell a new Eclipse?

I bet that was a big day! I certainly haven't seen one on the road.

i dont knwo about the evo 8 dissapearing but i know for the pirce difference its better to just get a 8 rather than a 9 or certainly a 10 when they come out, its like the newest latest greatest toy from mitsubishi of course its gonna cosa a arm and a leg.....i paid 32,854 for my evo when i first bought it and 2 weeks ago i jsut sold it....18,000 miles, rally red, i miss it already but the value dropped so much that i could achually go out and get one off of ebay for less than i owed on my current one??? gotta find the loop holes and work the system, thats the best advice i can give anyone...

the evo already holds its value very well compared to just about any other car out there.
