Hard finding Evo's in near future?
I personally hope the same thing happens to the Evo as happened to the Supra, that would make me a happy man! Yes the Evo will become more and more rare as time goes on, will the demand be there? Its hard to say, there are a lot of auto manufacturers bringing out some bad *** rides in 08 (Mazda, Nissan, Mitsu, Toyota) we'll have to see how they stack up. I think it's too early to tell how scarce the Evo will be, but I can assure you it depreciates far slower than 99% of the cars out there, and the demand is still quite high.
the thing that mostly upsets me about the X is the transmission...ive read a bunch of articles online and the only thing i see is that "sportronic" thing or paddle shifting. i havent heard a damn thing if it will be offered in a regular manual. personaly i tihnk the stick adds a little fun and skill into sports cars...imagine the evo 8 or 9 offered in only an automatic. the fun meter will drop..

Mitsu. knows what's riding on their next generation halo car. They won't screw it up.
Oh and buy your IX's now. Their won't be a new one after August for 18 months!!!
I really doubt that evos will hold their value like the Supra and RX7 turbos. You have to realize that those two cars were made when the whole "import" scene was barely alive and hardly anyone bought them except doctors and well-to-dos that are not the 20-30yr olds buying Evos. Another thing is that Evos are NOT rare vehicles and all this crap about them becoming hard to find is completely false. The fact that this vehicle is turbocharged will most likely result in a market value flatline i would estimate to be 12-15k dollars but no where near the 30-40k a Supra turbo commands. The biggest difference between these cars is the Evo is hot NOW while its still in the dealerships but the Supra and RX7 are more appreciated now then they were when new.

While everyone wanted a TURBO Eclipse, truth is only 8% of Eclipse buyers ponied up for one.
why? expensive to buy and insurance premiums were through the roof because of the 2 door 'sports car' body. how do you build a business case for a car no one bought?
It's not a real evo because its not using the 4g63. Why can't they just keep improving upon the design instead of radically changing it? Look at the porsche 911. More or less it's just been one refinement after another for many years. I'm not optimistic about the X.
