MR's came with blue seats.
My 8 MR came with the blue material seats. Your looking for SSL seats.
Besides small exterior stuff & engine Its exactly the same dimensions

Fun fact for anyone else: The 4-9 rear seats are all definitely interchangeable, and I've been told 1-9 all are. I have only tested 4-9 though so I wont confirm that. There is just one mounting point difference from the 4/5/6-7/8/9.

Awesome, I might as well look for a Tommi Makinem seats

You seems to understand the subject how hard will it be to change the full set to the T. Makinen edition ?

The fronts are fairly easy. If you look up on mitsubishilancerregister (MLR) there are many people who have done the full swap. It's basically just the rails that need to be swapped over. The backs will bolt right in. On the second gen Evos some guys will shave/trim a couple of the mounting points to eliminate any gap.
