go talk to the dealer tomorrow and see what kind of deal they will give u with a trade in.....im sure you will be able to get some cash out of your car to knock the price down on a new 9. or are you thinking about getting an 8?

9..yea the lancer is worth i think like 5k - 2k = some equity. gotta look for deals though. i stopped at a dealer and the problem is that they are lacking evo 9s. theyre waiting for a shipment of one, but i can check in other dealers.

i'll be dead honest she had me convinced to not buy it. i just need the support from the people that drive the cars themselves. i mean you guys r right. why not buy it?

 

people do confuse ontario, california with ontario, ca (canada).

here is a little advice from a female


first off talk down your lancer tell her that the next service is due and that the car is getting tired/worn out not getting good mileage you know the usual negitive stuff about a car but what ever you do don't tell here that it is too slow..

then talk about checking out other cars take her to look at the slowest bucket of **** that you guys have over there in the states take some for a test drive with her and let her drive some and show her the warranties etc

then drive past a Mitsi dealer and go have a look at the new Evo's take one for a test drive and let her drive it so that she can see and feel that even tho it has a turbo does not mean it is fast then let the salesman tell her all about the warranties etc

go home and don't mention a thing let her raise the subject about which car she enjoyed the most - i bet you she will say get the evo...

thing is let her believe that it is her choice but if after a couple of days nothing is said then tell her that you think it is a good buy in buying the evo 9

at least this way you will keep her happy and you get what you want

chowetime.. thats a great strategy but if i tell her i want the evo for looks or for reliability she is going to roll her eyes because she understands its not a regular lancer. about having her be in the car, yea thats great. with all the advice though im gonna be doing what i want, im gonna get the car.

 

bah thats to much work....you make the money in the relationship right? cars are YOUR hobby right?

just get the car, if she doesnt like it she should just deal with it. does she even have a reason for you NOT to get the car?
