you need all the coolant and oil lines in order to fit it on the 8. The oil lines and coolant lines from the 8 and 9 are not the same...also you need the piece to fit to the LICP

Seems to me like if you are going to the expense and bother of putting a bigger turbo onto your car, 200 odd bucks is reasonable. Bushur stuff is normally pretty reasonably priced. Did you try contacting them and asking them?

Yes, there are plenty of stock replacement turbos you can get that require no kits, but if you want to upgrade to any IX turbo, you need the new outlet pipe, and you need the new coolant/oil lines. The kit is just OEM Mitsu parts that Dave had to buy from Mitsu so that he could provide customers with the necessary parts, otherwise he'd be selling a turbo that none of you could use until you went to Mitsu yourself and bought them. If you want a IX turbo on your VIII, you need these parts. Dave isn't selling them for profit - he's just adding them so that you can bolt up your new turbo.

correction, the new outlet pipe only fits with there intercooler, DOESNT FIT WITH THE STOCK INTERCOOLER. thought i would clear that up. so bascily u need the oil coolent lines.

I was runnin' out of room.

Deadbeatrec, thanks for the clarification. You still need an outlet pipe that fits the IX turbo unless it already comes with the turbo.

For the 20g-9 turbo....
It would be cheapest if you just used the stock 8 lines.
With some creative bending....they will fit.

Also the lower stock 8 pipe will fit.
You just have to move the + cable on the starter to a 5 o'clock position from it's 12 o'clock originally so the lower pipe won't come in contact with it.

It would probably add another 30 min. on the job to make this work but in the end.
You'll be glad you save yourself some $$.

But it's your choice if you still want to order the install kit .

Just for clarification. Someone like myself who has already upgraded there intercooler will just need to buy the installation kit with the IX-20G and that's all I will need for the install?
