Front Bumper Opinions
I considered it, but wouldn't cost a lot more to purchase the hood and bumper and lip and all the other accessories, then having it painted Wicked White? But yeah it's a rarity.
The Only Thing I really like about the IX is the front Bumper....So I will be getting one for my WW in the future! I was considering getting a do luck lip but dam is like $600 for it... Might as well shell out a little more and get the IX bumper.
But for now I will rock my stock bumper witch i still find very nice looking and agressive!
Dude VIII looks way better, the only reason people like the nine is beacuse a little different and its a new look. Not a better look just newer then the VIII.
P.S. I'm not just saying that because I drive a VIII. The IX should really be 8.5 the only difference is the bumper in my mind, oh and the M vtech or mivec!!

Thanks everyone for your votes and opinions. The past few days, I feel like I've been leaning towards the Evo IX bumper conversion. My only worry is my ability to sell my Evo 8 bumper and CF lip, and getting as much as I could for them at the fairest price. I have considered shipping, but I prefer local pickup, so hopefully there will be some interested local potential buyers.

gives you then it would seem that it's not much different, but there's a bit more to it than a power upgrade and MIVEC stamped on the valve cover.

Look at the turbo swaps some people with 9's have done... they're making very similar #'s as 8's running the same turbo.
But there's a big difference in the power curve. You can really feel the difference between the VIII and the IX when you drive them back to back. The head is different and MIVEC changes flow characteristics to improve the power curve.
Would you also say the 6 is just a 5.5? You can go way back in Evo history and you'll see there are only 3 or 4 huge differences from the first to the last if you don't include changing the turbo or cams, but there are IX different Evos. The cars are using nearly the same exact engine as from the very first Evo, so you can't expect a miraculous change. I think the change from the VIII to the IX is larger than say from the V to the VI. But we digress from the main topic. If anyone feels I am wrong then feel free to pm me.
