Whats bad is that we have no form of emmissions law. So you can pollute the crap out of the environment, you just cant have an exhaust on a 4cylinder.

Also I wasn't trying to instigate anything by not turning off the car. I had the keys on the seat and honestly didn't think it was a big deal until he came back up after the car had shut off and started with the questions.

 

dont even think about the HKS. I have one with no cat, I pull off in third gear when Im next to police so they dont bother me!

 

no one can top California Police...sooo all you other states are lucky but then again you still have those B*tch cops that pull you over just because... but Cal. Police are the worst... especially for us EVO drivers...STUPID CALIFORNIA...oh well it aint gonna stop me from doing mods....

 

Maybe not, but the fact that you sat there and tried to explain it to him rather then going ahead and shutting the car down is just silly IMO. I doesn't make you wrong, or deserving for what happened to you, but I am the type person who tries *not* to **** the cops off, or appear to be a smartass if I get pulled over. I go out of my way to pull this off. I think its the main reason why things like this don't happen to me.

 

sorry too hear that...them cops were prolly hella bored and wanted toop pull you over.... cops Ran my PLATE and i was just at a Gas Station.. and he gave me a big as lecture about STREET RACING..prolly cuz i was driving an EVO but still..F*cken Pigs got nothing too do better but pick on US EVO DRIVERS...i hate cops!!! goo do some real COP work and get em DRUG DEALERS AND GANG BANGERS LEAVE THE IMPORT SCENE ALONE...thats my .02 cents

 

So does anyone have any info on exhaust DB levels?

 

stock its 95db at idle and at 3000rpm its like 102 or something..there a thread on here comparing aftermarket exhust with stock.

 

I’m in Miami Florida were you see ferrari’s and limbos all day (loud exhaust) so cops out here don’t really care if your mitsu is a few db over the law...at least it seems that way to me. I have never been pulled over just because of mods.
