I am going to have a spare ecu soon that I want to get flashed. I know that I need to get the ecu and the ignition key synched.
The question i have is does the ecu need to be in the car when they do this or can I take the ecu and the key and head to the dealer?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Do it yourself you just need the two keys that came with the car. Here is a link to the How to section. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=92360

Wow that kind of stinks. I was hoping to be able to get it done without taking the car to the dealer. Maybe I should just get mine flashed and not worry about having the orginal in case something doesn't work out right.
That's an interesting approach for the keys but my situation is (will be) I have two keys, a stock ecu and another one that I was going to get flashed.
If the immobilizer is in the vehicle I can see why you'd need to see the stealer, er dealer.
Thanks for the info,
Bob
