Perrin uicp vs stock uicp

Ive been running my perrin piping kit for a while now but lately ive been suspecting that the piping has been balooning at full boost. Is it normal for the piping to touch the foil under the hood because for some reason the foil about the piping has completely worn away either its because the engine is moving under load or because my piping is expanding. Does anybody know what PSI the intercooler piping starts to expand right now im only running 21psi peak and 20 to rl.

Mine did this for a short time, until I noticed it. I just had the pipes non adjusted correctly. I eventually replaced them with the Injen set because I liked the way they looked, and have no rubbing now. If you have never messed with the piping, and it is rubbing, it is probably a simple adjustment to get it low enough to clear.

I have found the best way to adjust all my piping is to take everything out, spray into the couplers a little WD40, and reassemble leaving the hose clamps loose. You will find that there is a ton of movement in the pipes even without them "popping" out of the couplers.

it could be due to the engine moving back towards the firewall under load. i was amazed at how much my engine torqued when it was on the dyno. installed a powerflex front mount bushing, now when i get it dynoed again this month, i'm gonna see how much of the torque was arrested by the bushing.
