Hard decision, $7500 might turn into more once they start working on it. It may be perfectly good afterwards but then again, there are chances it may not.
If you have a lot of time, part it out, pocket the $7500 and buy a new one.

Although you are right that the car will not be the same, and I don't know the condition of your car, a good body shop can do a wonderful job and you'll never know it was in an accident unless you really look under the trunk carpeting. If you can get used to the idea that the car is really OK after the repairs, you'll be fine. Also, don't forget that you can ask for and receive from the insurance company a substantial sum for loss of value.... I had the same thing happen to my first EVO and I got several thousand dollars in cash as well as getting my car repaired very well. Please consider those options... Also, it's better to go ahead and have the car repaired anyway, even if you trade it or sell it. I'd guess that between the loss of value money and the trade in value of the repaired car, you'll be only $5K~$10K away from a new IX....
