what to do with wrecked evo

i have a 2003 black evo with about 18000 miles on it.i t was wrecked recently(rearended) it has about $7500 in rear damage they said frame is ok. damage was in the rear so no enngine damage. i also have a act street clutch with fidanza flywheel. what do you think i could get for it in this condition. i want to upgrade to a mr maybe or at least a evo9.dont really want it bck as it will never be the same. how screwed would i be if i got it fixed and tried to trade it in?

Are you sure that it will never be the same? Usually an insurance adjuster, in conjunction with a body shop, will determine if it's possible to get the car back to its original condition. If there's any doubt, they will usually err on the side of caution and total it. They know that if a customer isn't happy with the work, or with the way it drives after the repair, that he/she will continue to bring it in and have it fixed, thus costing the insurance company even more money (because the work is guaranteed). If after they've done a complete tear down and find only $7500 in damage, there's a very good chance that it can be returned to original condition.

You could try to sell it after it's repaired. I believe that the fact that it was in an accident will show up on a carfax report, though. But it won't show up as a salvaged car unless it was deemed totaled. I say let them fix it.

Part it out, you'll make more.

And if you do, let me know, I'll buy your HID lights from you.

they wont total it out if it's only $7500 in damage. Specially when it's rear ended.

I would have the insurance fix it with some goodies.

Get it fixed with some upgrades and if it does not drive the same, then try to trade in for a ix....
Won't you be getting a nice chunck of change since you got rear ended??? Turbo upgrade??

part out every single part in the car. you'll be surprised how many ppl need those parts and how much you get it all for.

They're not going to total it, with a rear end impact that is still semi-drivable.

Your options are to fix it or sell it.
