I don't know about the SP 2 but I transfered the Greddy Evo 2 from my 8 to my new 9 and it fit perfectly. Good luck

 

how does the evo 2 exhaust sound and is it loud

 

I have the EVO 2 exhaust and it sounds great. Even without a cat, it isn't obnoxious at highway cruising speeds. It does come alive however once the exhaust velocity increases during acceleration. The tone is not high pitched, but is considerably louder than stock. I would reccommend the EVO 2 exhaust. It also looks very stock coming out of the tail end(except for the diameter of course).

 

The evo2 on my 05 MR has been great, it has nice low tone to it, it is not loud even with catless. but when you WOT it sounds loud but thats only if you WOT.

 

I think all catbacks from the 8's should fit the 9's, you just have to worry about the O2 bung location. The 8's will have a O2 bung in the mid-pipe, so when you install it on a 9 you'll have a hole, which can be fixed with a plug.

Its really low and deep, but definately loud under WOT. I wouldn't say its as loud as angled exhausts though

 

I've had it on for about a week now...I have it mated to a UR 3" HFC and Turbo XS 3" downpipe so I am guessing its much louder than just having the exhaust by itself. It has a nice deep growl though....no lawn mower exhaust here. It's pretty quiet for regular driving but if you get on it...
