just wanted to know if the turboxs intercooler was any good? how much power would u gain with it?

 

I run one. It's a very good I/C for the price. The only thing is you have to cut or remove the plastic spash gard under the car to make it work

 

are you saying the black under panel needs to be removed?

 

good intercooler for the price.... you have to get creative with the lower panel.

 

I also have one...looks and works great....
You do have to remove 2 taps from the front
crash bar.....

just up grading to a br racing front mount and licp...

the xs is 24x11x3
br 24x13x4

 

I have one on my personal evo. It looks/works great and is the right price.

I did not have to modify my crash beam at all. It fit right behind it. Trimming the underpanel is a piece of cake with a dremel. It took literally 2 hours to install from removal of the bumper to carrying the tools inside.

 

Yes you do. I got huge gains from it. Its a good mod to do. The stock intercoolers are junk. They dont do much period. I cant remember the temp difference but the air temp was dramatically lower after putting on the intercooler.

no doubt put in on the car yesterday , me and my friend put it on little tricky but we got it defintly feel a diffrence is it safe to turn up the boost a little more now?

 

evomiz what year is your car, i ran a 12.3 at a 114 before the turboxs intercooler and exedy carbon clutch with flywheel, do u think the car would go in to the 11'S now?

 

The intercooler should not allow you to turn up your boost. Depending on what intercooler you went with you will see more boost fad. Reset your boost to what is was before. And no sorry to say you wont be in elevens just from that. Maybe if before you werent doing it you could make it "race ready". Take out the spare tire jack, and Make sure you have just a few gallons of gas. Each gallon of gas weighs a little more then 8 pounds. A full tank of gas is about 100 pounds or .1 seconds on a quarter mile run...
