Buschur goodies!!! (56k warning!)

Well I came home from work to this sitting on my porch!

It's the 20g-9-5 turbo from Buschur Racing! Can't wait to install it.

Here are some more random pics throughout the winter months, I have been hording my parts like a squirrel waiting to get everything on!

What I have left to install (some pictured above):

20g-9-5 turbo
Agency Power fuel rail
780cc injectors
ARP head studs
ceramic coated downpipe
ceramic coated/buschur ported ex. manifold
ceramic coated/buschur ported 10.5 hotside
ceramic coated ebay o2 housing
ceramic coated custom turbo heat sheild (i made it from scratch, what do you think?)

What I already install:

ACT 2600 clutch/streetlight flywheel
Nisei FMIC <- this thing is the sexiest fmic i have ever seen!
Injen intake with UICP
HKS 264 i/e
hallman in-cabin manual boost controller
hks carbon ti 3" cat-back exhaust
t-bolt's for the intercooler piping

How do you guys think the car will run!? My goal is low 12's/high 11's with my crappy driving skills...hehe

I had to get on here and tell someone!!!!

~Zach

I know I can't wait to get them installed!

I am hoping somewhere around 375 awhp on a dynojet dyno running 23 lbs on 94 octane. Do you think that is within my reach?

doing all the work yourself...cool. You completely removed the tranny right? Was that difficult? I am considering doing that while the motor is being built up since I have the time. Then send the tranny out to TRE or Shepperd. Could you send me a PM with a run down on how you did it. Just the major steps...it would be greatly appreciated. I have the service manual....but some extra insight would be nice.

I just noticed that I do not have a WG Actuator! I will have to call Buschur and see whats up. I was supposed to get the regular EVO9 actuator...

With those mods you should hit over 400whp. But what are you doing for engine management?

Dynoflash for now. I was going to go with Greddy e-manage ultimate but haven't heard anything for the EVO yet. So I held off. I was going to get a custom tune but I think I am going to just get a flash and use the SAFC-II I have to dial it in better (if needed). Then I plan on going Greddy Ultimate or MAFT Pro.

What you guys opinion of going with 780's vs. 680's?

Does having too much injector flow loss power?

What if it was tuned for having that much injector flow?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I am going to give you the same advice the Great WARRTALON gave me. And thats no to the safc on a evo. I would encourage you to get the custom dynoflash tune. You cant go wrong at all with that and with those mods that tune will optimize your hp and tq gains. Also get a wbo2. Dontget the emanage. I would either go with the aem ems, or just the custom dynoflash tune.

Let me just say this. Warrtalon ran a tbe, ported manifold, dynoflash tune, boost gauge and a forge mbc, and he was running 12.2 and 12.00 on race gas. I think he ran the alky kit too. But as you can see with minimal mods he got alot of power and he got great times.

More fuel=more power if you are tuned for it and have the supporting mods for it.

However, too much fuel will cause you to backfire alot. The pros on having too much fuel is you will run rich which causes your egt's to go down which keeps you from overheating and pre-detonating.

Thanks for the reply. What I will most likely do is exactly what you said. However I just don't have the $$ for it right now. I am going to get the mail in flash for now and then go with a custom tune most likely.

I forgot to add I have a Innovate Wideband :-)
