Anyways, the front end was messed up pretty bad as I was traveling about 35mph. Damage extended back to the front wheels with just about everything being replaced(Also, airbags went off and front glass needed to be replaced). I have had trouble with the repair shop telling me it will be done, giving a date, and then each time they say a new part is on backorder. I have recently been getting more angry and they got a written statement from their Mitsu part supplier(see attached as it is hilarious).
First they told me they were waiting for an electronic acd pump(I believe this is the part name), and that arrived March 28th. Now they are waiting for an ECU connector- part #8501A243. They said April 12th, but now it is looking like towards the end of the month or later. Does anyone know who I can complain to, in order to expedite things. If possible, could any of the people who work at a dealership verify in fact that the part is on back order.

A few funny quotes:
"Mitsubishi evidently moves at its own pace"
"it pushed it up to April, but not very solid in my opinion"
"it is being made in Japan and sent to us"
"Being as the car is so sporty, and supped up ot doesn't have the criteria as having a lot of parts produced for that model"--My personal favorite

i'm in the same boat right now and it sux, but what all can we do... though i would like to seek out a lawyer and get the repairs done faster, i find it pointless because the shop is not at fault for parts being on backorder... now i just look at it and can't wait to get my car back...
on the funny side of the story... how many people killed their car when they got it back?
i hope that i don't...
