I'm curious because I can sometimes feel the engines pulse through it and if I pinch it slightly the idle is affected. But other times there is no engine pulse through it and if I pinch it it has no affect on the idle. So it makes me curious what this hose exactly is.

 

Which hose are you asking about? The line that goes to the front of the car is for the boost control the one that goes to the back is for egr.

 

probably a vacum line of some kind.. fwiw you better be careful where you put your fingers into while your engine is running

 

Yea, I'm very careful what i'm tinkering with. It just seems that my car has a rough idle when there is the engine pulse coming through the hose. I noticed my picture was pointing to the wrong hose, heres another pic



Noob question: What is the EGR? why would it pulsate sometimes and not others. Like it would pulsate for 10 mins then stop and not do it for another 20 mins and so on. When does it come on/off

 

Sorry that appears to be the evap line not the egr.

 

I think that is the line that you route your boost line for your boost gauge into. So it's either a vaccum or?

 

Go look at your car please, then tell me you tapped into that line for a boost gauge.

 

it looks like the bypass valve line to me.....

question a little off topic but of the same nature. Im curious what the hose is that is right by the fuel feed and return. It seems like a vacuum line or no ?
