Aproximate Horsepower

Since I have not found any dynos here in Brazil, I would like to ask any of you experts in EVO's how much horsepower I have aproximately with the my current mods? The stock car is an EVO VIII with 280hp stock. Everything is stock, except for the mods below listed in my signature. I apreciate any response.

Without a tune for the mods, you could be in the 250 whp range (280whp on a dynojet), But I would guess less than that to do it safely. If you had race gas and turned up the boost, you could make a good bit more......

silverEVO8 there arent any good people to tune an EMS here, do you recomend a reflash? I contacted dynoflash but no response, I guess its because I am in Brazil. The car stock has how many WHP?

Just a guess, but probably 230~240 on a dynodynamics. Add about 13%~15% for a dynojet number. It's been my experience that without a proper tune, you don't get the power you could out of your mods.... Sometimes, it can actually hurt performance in some way. Like, if you get more lean mixture or higher boost from your mods, the car could detonate and the ECU will pull timing, which could result in less power . However, that's not necessarily true... Your car could be one of those that responds well to mods. BTW, the trick for more power is really to make more boost. Of course, tht can be very risky without a proper tune or very high octane gasoline.....

Hummm, that is scary! The guy at evotuner.com told me that the stock ECU would work fine with the mods. I still have not driven the car, because the parts are being installed now. Should I buy a boost controler? However, gas in Brazil is really bad ... more than half the gas stations have adultered gas (they put lots of cheap alcohol, water and even some solvents).

It's probably possible to get a reflash that will work... Of course, without knowing the conditions of your car and the gasoline quality, it could be a risky thing to do. Have you tried contacting Vishnu?
I don't know if this is a good idea for you, but if you had a way to do some datalogging and send those files to a good tuner, they can probably send you maps to try until you get close to a good tune. Of course, it could be a tedious and long process. I don't know if anybody would do it. Way back when I had my EVO VIII, the tune was completely screwed up by the guys who did it. Scot Grey was able to help me tune the AEM EMS via email and telephone, but it was a messy thing to do....
I think that if the XEDE can datalog, you could use it to collect data and send it back and forth to a good tuner to try different maps... You might try contacting Shiv at Vishnu or Andrew at Dyno4mance....Good luck

hahaha.

Yeah, with those parts untuned in the states on 93 pump you should be right around 300whp. Stock you would probaby dyno around 230whp.

How much more whp with the parts tuned? Do you recomend any reflash or
