is tuning and reflash the same.

-Megan Racing Turboback Exhaust with resonated test pipe+ 3rd O2 bung for wideband connection
- Forge UNOS MBC- in hand polished silver or anodized black
- You don't need two boost gauges, your MR already comes with one. Why would we sell you another?
- TTP/ECUTEK IX reflash with Ralliart MIVEC Maps
I guess this would be the most mostest bang for your buck.
That boost gauge claim is getting old. The stock gauge on the MR only goes up to 21.75psi and is hard to read. It works fine, but there's nothing wrong with having a gauge in the package when most Evos are NOT MRs.
It also sucks to have your ECU flashed with EcuTek then not be able to use EcuFlash for storing and loading multiple maps. Man, I would be pissed if I had EcuTek and wasn't able to use EcuFlash...

The UNOS MBC is a SET IT AND FORGET IT affair.
Once boost is set, you should not need to adjust it, hence why you do not need another redundant gauge FORCED upon a consumer with a BR package. You set boost and you leave it alone at this level of modification.
ECUFlash does not store maps. It is a program that reads maps and writes them on 2003-2005 ECU's only. Your map is stored on your hard drive, desktop or any other place you want to save it, just as a .jpg or any other file, but with the .hex.
ECUFlash does not flash 2006 Evos, but I figured you already knew that.
You don't load multiple maps, you load one map. The premise of "needing" many maps is a sales pitch to save declining mail in flashes for your "free reflash sponsor" which is why you are in this thread trying to defame ECUTEK and push your warrtalon packages and reflashes. You gotta earn your handouts somehow. We understand.

Secondly, ECUTEK's END USER INTERFACE will be out soon so not only will you be able to flash, you will have the imbedded security protecting you from the dealer or others stealing your maps.
Scott, that's way too much diatribe that is not needed nor useful. Most Evos DO NOT HAVE A GAUGE, so that's why they are in the package. For MRs, it only goes to 1.5 bar, and I cannot believe you are suggesting that people drive around at 23.2 psi based off the assumption that they can tell how far the needle goes past the last tick mark. That is irresponsible at best. And what's with this set it and forget it boost stuff. If that was the case, then there's no reason for the MBC - the EcuTek controls boost just as well. The point of the MBC is to have direct control over changing the boost for any situation. If these guys ever use race gas and want to raise the boost on the MR, the stock gauge is not sufficient. I know from first-hand experience.
Blah blah on the EcuFlash crap. Why do you get so technical instead of dealing with the TRUE point of the matter. The POINT is that people with EcuTek will not be able to leverage EcuFlash. I know the damn maps are on my hard drive...gimme a break. I load one map at a time, but I have many maps to choose from for any situation. I would not be able to do that if my Ecu had an EcuTek flash, and there is no benefit to paying for that license fee. EcuFlash for the IX is being developed and will be out soon enough. I'm sure you knew that...

EcuTek makes a crapload of money and doesn't care - they won't lower the price of the license even with the release of EcuFlash. You as an EcuTek vendor love it so much and cause customers to pay way more than necessary for a good tune when they could pay far less for the same quality tune. There's no reason for it and no benefit to the customer.

Since EcuTek has its end user platform being released any day now, you can have unlimited maps for any situation + the security that Ecutek places on the ECU. This will work hand in hand with the license fee. Anyone with a Ecuflash cable WILL NOT be able to rip off the tuner's hard work, even if they owner allowed them to- with EcuTeK's built in security.
Ecuflash is not an option for EvoIX at this time. There is no ETA.

The dilemma of having a static flash and not having a specific tune for race gas has been with us for years. That's why we used the SAFC on top of the flash, but that is a piecemeal approach that is not optimal. Why would you call that a sales pitch? People want multiple maps, and now they can get them...

Your free flash sponsor is an ECUTEK dealer so your derogatory comments are a reflection on both of us.
Ecutek provides a way to have the dealer unable to check the checksum data so they cannot tell if you have been reflashed, preserving your warranty. They consistantly improve their products and support with the impending release of the end user EcuTeK reflash program. Their response time to their customers exceeds industry standards. The ONE TIME license fee goes toward consistant improvements in their product line.
With the money they save on the TTP package over the warrelton package, they can have the EcuTeK tune and still save some $.
