Very odd question about the horn and alarm

Okay so I have an aftermarket alarm system (viper) put into this car.. I had the system for about 2 years now.. I have a 2003 evo.. I've never had any problems with the alarm and such up until a foul baseball was hit and broke my windshield.. I then had that replaced but the problem occurred after that moment on..

When it rains hard here and i'm not talking an hour of rain or some hard rain for 15 minutes.. I'm talking hard rain all day.. What happens is the car just sounds off, its not the sound of the car alarm it sounds like somebody is in the car just holding the horn down to the ground..

The only way I can fix this problem is by literally turning the car on (where it will still continue to make this sound even when the car is on) and then turning the headlights on..

Once the headlights are turned on the horn sound will stop.. As of right now i disconnected the battery until I can figure it out.. I've brought the car to mitsubishi and the scum charged me 99$ an hour for eletrical work and they didnt find anything wrong with it..

The only thing with this is, it ONLY happens after a day of hard rain and my luck only when its 3-6am and it's pooring rain out..

I mean I have no idea if maybe there water is leaking through the windshield somehwere I can't see and thats causing something? or if it has to do with the installation of the viper system now getting old and a wiring going bad somehwere or something? or if it is straight wiring problems in the car itself.. I really don't know where to start with this

I mean ANY SUGGESTIONS or advice on this at all would be highly appreciated because I have the slightest idea where to start with this issue.. It really is the most annoying thing possible.. I thank you in advance for any help

take it back to the place you got it installed, could be a number of things, only they would pretty much know?

Get a wiring diagram and start looking around. Possibly a short somewhere.

well I just brought it to a local place around here that does alarm installs etc that I hear good things about.. When i explained the problem they said it has nothing to do with the viper alarm system if the sound of the horn is whats being heard.. They said if thats the case stick the key in the door, unlock it and lock it and it should turn off..

I really don't think thats going to work.. the guy was baffled about by turning the lights on the sound stopped..

the problem is that there is a million different things that could be causing this like you guys stated.. I feel like this problem is just going to be the death of me
