How sensitive is your alarm?

Man my alarm is so sensitive when it rains and thunders, it friggin goes off! Whats up with that? I don't know if I have a factory or aftermarket alarm all I know is that the key chain has a carbon fiber pattern and it says prestige.

Yes there is. Most any car audio shop can do it. Look under the dash by the steering wheel. That's where 90% of installers put the brain. Sometimes they mount an LED down there to help adjust the shock sensor. Tap it a couple of times to see if anything lights up. IF it does start looking for a small flathead set screw and turnit, probably counterclockwise until it takes less of a hit to get it to blink. If you can't find it, go to a car stero place you've done business with to see if they can help you with an alarm they may or may not sell.

See if you can find an instruction manual for your alarm at this link. You might be able to adjust the sensitivity with your remote.

it is aftermarket!! i have the same alarm as u had i guess, my alarm is so sensitive and the key chain had the carbon fiber pattern too! u can go back to the audio shop and ask them to fix it for you! but Im fine with the sensitivity! the only way to me to shut off the alarm is let the car shut down by the turbo timer!
