Tuning Tech, Harman Motive, XS-Engineering all have dyno. Call them up and make appointment. Since you're in Irvine the closest will be XS, Harman Motive, Tuning Tech in shortest distance order.

For real EVO atmosphere and according to you, you may have a problem with your EVO, go to Tuning Tech.

So Al think it's an idiot to find out about the car huh? I'm one of his good customers but that's unacceptable.

I dont see the problem. Then al gives me this analogy . "your an idiot, you asking me that is like asking your doctor to run a marathon after you have a heart attack" WHAT THE *&^$... i dunno. the car feels strong and im not bashing the tune it self, but I honestly felt dumber after spending a couple hours with this guy. Any questions i asked, he seemed to get offended by or something... I told him, " **** Al, I want to learn about whats going on with my car, not just sit here with my thumb up my ***, and when your done have to clue what just happened" , he reply's, "oh well, shut up and let me worry about not crashing your car." WOW. lets just say I just wanted the tune and to get the hell out. OH and frosting on the cake. I had to drive the guy home that was getting his car tuned before mine because in al's words," i made the human mistake of ****ing up" To let you guys know, I have no problem with the tune, its just i honestly don't know what Al is talking about half the time, I feel like he pulls half the reasons for things out of his ***. I always thought when reading all these random posts about al that it was because they were just being *****'s and couldn't take a little verbal abuse(which honestly wasnt bad, hes just kinda vulgar), but everything i wrote were words directly out of his mouth... quite an experience none the less

Wow i woudl of waited till he finished tunning then beat his ***, mug him, and take off! In that order of course!

Hahaha, Chris, I had the exact same kind of experience with Al. The man is a bit off of the deep end to say the least.

I still don't understand. Why were you called an idiot for wanting to know how much power your car is making?

I decided to do some background checking to see what to expect...couldn't find much on the others, but check out GT Motorsports on the BBB!!!

That explains how the afford their 600 whp Evo 8...No way in hell I would bring my car there!

I only know of Vishnu (and have purchased his products in the past) and have been very happy with their stuff. (not to say anything bad about the others)

Shiv

The reality of the situation was that this customer had recieved a defective MBC as part of a tuning package and his car was not holding proper boost

I offered to sell the customer a Forge MBC for $80 to rectify his situation - however he did not have the funds to make the purchase

As his car was dropping 5 psi of boost - falling to 15 psi it was hard for me to gauge how much power the car was making

The customer's recollection of our conversation is very inaccurate and neglects to mention my response to his inquires included a detailed comparison off his data log and g force compared to a very similarly equiped IX evo with a functional MBC as well as a offer to remove the flash installed and refund his money on the spot - an offer he declined

Honestly, I do find it bizzare when customers are fixated on dyno numbers - partciurlay when they have cars with obvious mechanical issues such as in this case

Obviously this customer does not concur with my view points on this subject

My position was and is that it is idiotic to try and estimate whp figures on a car which is not holding boost

I would think it better to spend the $80 on the MBC and get the problem fixed than spend the money on dyno figure which is going to be flawed due to the malfunctioning MBC
