Drop in air filters: Un-confuse me please
I got the blitz drop-in have been running it for 2 months now and haven't had a single problem. Noticed an immediate increase in throttle response.

I have the Blitz LM filter. Been 8 months so far and runs good. The Blitz is a DRY COTTON filter so no worries about oil gunking up your MAF sensor.
Filtration is not going to be as good as the stock paper one - but then no aftermarket high flow filter is. Your best bet if you want the best filtration is to keep the stock paper filter. Just adding a drop-in air filter does very little in terms of performance without a tune.
Look at this filter test:

The best filter in this test was the Apexi - which is a dry cotton filter. It filtered the best while still offering good airflow.
K&N and Works are both oil-type filters and I would not want oils coating my MAF sensor.

I'm using K&N for 3 years on both my EVOs and no problem or what so ever. It even withstand a sand storm that I encoutered while driving through Arizona last year.
As long as you don't "deep fry" the filter with oil, it should be ok.

Not surprisinginly (in my biased mind anyways
), the WORKS filter came out on top. What was surprising is how much on top it was. Our filter outflowed the stock unit by 240%, the foam filter by 200% and our competitor by 150%. All testing was back-to-back-to-back-to-back within moments of each other. They are worth the wait and we should have them back in stock very soon. Give us a call if you want your name added to our waiting list. Thanks!
The Works filter is probably one of the best drop-in types, easily >30% more surface area than K&N's with a similar filter material. If anyone is looking for one, I've got one for sale here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...t=works+filter
gains? where are the dyno plots?
