2004 any different?

How different is the 2004 from the 2003? I know that they introduced the RS in 04, the 2004 was the first year of the SSL and the only way you could get HIDs, besides that are the cars identical? Did they have the fading brembo/wing issue? Are the 04's just as problematic as the 03's or is buying an 04 just as tricky as an 03. I really want to buy this EVO soon but there are three I've been looking at, ones an 03, ones an 04 SSL and one is an 05 RS... all stock.

They're the same.

Get the 05, then stop bombarding us with these threads before you even have an Evo. It's overkill.

^ ditto re: the 05.

But... Warr is right. Noob questions belong in the noob section if you're going to make them. But make them AFTER you run an Advanced Search.

The 05 will be an RS, would you guys still take an 05 RS over the 04 SSL?

I wouldnt....unless you like not having any luxury items? I have an 04 SSL and I really like it....The leather is nice and makes the interior look a lot better than a normal VIII, power windows, doors locks...Sunroof and Stereo, which some dont care about but I know I like having that stuff especially when im spending that much money and it makes a nice daily driver....but if you dont care about any of that stuff then buy an RS and call it a day!

btw unless you race your car alot or have plans to then the lsd will come in handy but for me I wouldnt know if it was there or not for street driving.....

Do you need leather and power windows? Will you be ok without those things? Ask your self those questions. But go for the 2005.

Word.. Just buy a dam car you keep asking stupid questions it all comes to make your decisions if we all tell not to buy an EVO would you. Buying a used car is pot luck, you might get a good car you might not who knows. So just buy the dam car and stop asking rhetorical questions about what car you should buy. These questions also dont belong on evo general you should be asking it in the newbie section.
