That is awesome that you agree. I would definitely like to start asking around and seeing who would like to jump in and help. Im gonna start writing some stuff down and continue on with he brainstorm process.

Any particular events you might like to get in on?

I was also thinking we could even get the sanctioning body in on it...maybe hold a raffle AT the race...there is a definitely strong potential.

We do have a lot of great guys and people on the board and in the sport. Most of us would be willing to put in money and time to make a difference. However, Im sure we could also get some decent parts from business' trying to get in on the action. The truth is they would jump in to get a "sponsored by" but this is definitely out to benefit everyone, small or large.

So........

1. Decide on event
2. Get a roster
3. Find sanctionin body at event, decide participation
4. Select cars and parts associated, figure on potential net earnings for charities
5. Execute.

Thats a simple idea...but I can say, Im really inspired bro.

YES!! This is exactly what Im talking about.

I have a confession to make....honestly, I've been trying to get more involved with the sport and I think that this would be an excellent way to do many things at once.

I really am trying to start a webpage, hopefully launching into a magazine in the future. I think that this being a background would be a great start. I hope that doesnt sound selfish.

In all honesty I am very excited about this idea, and I hope I can help start something that will make a difference.

Im really going to put my heart into this. It isnt about the money....

There are two things I love to do in this world....learn about cars, work on them and all....

And TALK about it!!!!

SO if I can do it and make an honest living, I will. But I wont forget....writing is great. I wanna start doing research and stuff on how these online guys have gotten going.

As someone who was there in Indy to witness the magic, I too, walked away from the experience with a warm feeling in my heart. It was amazing to see the way the kids, parents, and even the staff all reacted to the events. I know from experience that a children's hospital can be an eye opening, and very tearjerking place to visit. To see all the smiles and feel the hearfelt thanks of so many there is really what it is all about. I feel lucky to have had the priviledge of being there for photos.

Smoked: anytime you need shots, just call and I'll be there. You need me to drive down to indy to get the other drivers shots, just call. 3 hours drive is hardly a chore when I consider why we are doing it.

cheers,

Matthew.

Hashi.....if we ever happen to cross pathe's, I would like to learn about taking good photos.

As yu might have read, Ive been jotting down notes and blogging pretty steadily in an effort to start an online magazine, catering to the average enthusiast.

I have plenty of ideas, all of which involved shooting cars and what not, and I'll be in school for it this fall. I just would like to see what others are doing

Smoked, PM me if you've ot any ideas and what not. I have a pretty good game plan I thought of, but it would involve some serous generosity on the part of some raceways and vendors. But I think it can be done

Thanks guys, I will spill my ideas later. It is on the lines of: The Winged Warrior will be a "race club", and our Inagurial event (our Daytona 500 if you will) is the event in Indy. we will have events across the country to benefit "other" local childrens hospitals, and we compete on a "point" system, and the top 2 finishers in the "club" will get to race in our own One Lap Of America car the following year. They can be held at road-courses drag-races etc... Just some ideas. I need more starbucks to type clearer. That way, Kids from all over benefit, we have fun racing, for the chance to do the OLOA the following year. Sounds good on paper. More unfolding ideas later. what do you think???
