i'm giving up on the cam search, im not going to look anymore, it is so annoying, all i know is that there aren't cams out for the ix, besides TT, and you have to pay a arm and a leg, and that im not going to do. so i GIVE UP! do you think i should wait for cams to get a flash? i have basic mods, tbe, mbc, drop in. I wanted to wait to get a flash because i have to pay 3xx again to get reflashed if i get another mod. but the cam search is upsetting me. so forget it! TT here i come for a normal flash -.- im so sad.

 

I thought u gave up so why post? and why the hell you need cams on IX?? it makes 350 WHP with just flash and full cat back.. everything has limits and you dont want to have issues with your EVO do you?

 

Well, you shouldnt have bought a IX in the 1st place knowing that there are no intake cams available besides tt, you want more power, you gota pay to play

 

Hey, you should try a GSC 272 exhaust cam and then get flashed. I put one in my Bro-inlaw's IX and I think it makes a big difference. The difference is the pull up top. The IX in stock form seems to carry the torque longer into the powerband. The exhaust cam on the IX seems to help the torque build faster and last longer. Also they said they are working on the intake cam as we speak. Besides GSC any other cam will work, we just picked GSC because I like ther dyno graphs.

 

HKS is working on a set for the 9 plus moster sport is also working on the 9 set there are some campanies that are working on them. Just like any other cam design it takes time and R&D testing to get something that is going to produce a good amount of power. As far as american companies makeing 9 cams its going to be a long time before they start to come out with a cam setup for the 9. Most shops in japan are just yanking the mivic out and makeing it a gsr motor to make the power they want.

 

Once more brands are released the price gouging will cease....and the competition will be on like donkey kong!

 

Put in a 272/280 exhaust cam, reflash, and be HAPPY

You'll get so much more out of your mods if you get a flash. But it sounds like you're really swinging for the fences to start with. I hope you have upgraded your clutch, cause it's not gonna last long at all once you do a flash and cams. Maybe do that first?
