I have 264s in my evo right now and i am thinking of either getting 272s or 264/272.
I was wondering if there is a clip (video or just sound) of the 264/272 somewhere.
Because i had a friend with 272s, and his car sounds badass.. and the better top end doesnt hurt too.

I know there is a guy on here that has a clip of 280's.

but please dont get cams because some sound lumpier then others.

 

theres really not much performance difference for me personally to be able to lean on either one combo.. so which ever souds like a mean *** muscle car, thats a +1

This happens all the time, people buy things because they like the way it looks and sounds, but later down the road they wish they would have bought some thing else.

 

if your not tracking the car then is it really worth high lift high duration cams? the top end is nice, sure, but why not just get some headwork to make use of the improved flow of the cams you have? the way you posed your opinion honestly sounds like ricer talk i mean while your at it get a gt 42r, it makes a whole lot of whistling... its a 2.0 L 4 banger, not a 6 liter OHV V8

 

Or you can get a speaker mounted under your hood that sounds like cams. You can also make the whoosh sounds, NOS purge sound, and it replaces your horn with rap song of your choice....

I have HKS 280's in my car now. Makes a huge difference in top end. Al, at Dynoflash did a custom tune that worked wonders on idle and lumpiness. The car sounds a lot deeper and with the idle variation it is pretty obvious the cams are not stock. It doesn't change daily driving if that is a concern and the car never stalls or bogs down. Just my two cents.
